Hello. It's been two weeks or so as I am planning the game. It's not too bad as i got basics down. There are still unsure things that I want to sort out.
The game will have 17 skills:
Fighting, Exploring, Sailing, Mining, Smelting, Smithing, Stonework, construction, woodcutting, lumbering, fishing, hunting, cooking, skinning, tailoring, animal husbandry, butchery.
That's all I think. I have also planned the world. It will be 3 continents and another 4 - 7 small islands. The world will contain 30+ towns to visit. Every town will have something different to do in them. Port town will have docks and will let you do fishing. There will be over 75K unique items. Also, I put the level limit - 60 levels. But it will be a lot of things to do apart leveling up. THere will also be races and classes. Hungery will also appear as an important factor,.
I have sorted out the hunting, smithing, smelting, butchery, cooking, construction and fishing skills. If you have any ideas or want to get involved into HT creation please let me know - contact via PM or contact form. Do not send me e-mail as most likely it will be ignored.
Thanks.

A fighting skill? That sounds generic and thus pointless. |

it is not like skill. It is obvious that you will have to kill creatures if you want to stay alive

I think it would be cool if you had specific fighting skills... Axe, sword, blunt, ranged, fists... |

This is only my opinion, but to me, all that is too complicated. The only reason I joined this game is because it was pretty simple. I don't like games such as runescape, syrnia and that stuff.
Looking for a platinum ore buyer... PM me.

You see, I feel directly opposite to the idea of a simple game structure... there is no point to any role playing game if it's so simple a 5 year old can play. What makes these games worth playing is the "no pressure" complexity, where discovering all the basic functions is as much fun as diving into the game's more meaty secrets. So far the game has nothing extraordinary to offer, there's nothing to discover, it's too simple... with some of the proposed additions that should change. - The more skills the better I think, some people will want to become specialists in some skills... someone with a 'Fighter' skill might be able to graduate to higher level fighter, like 'Bouncer', 'Bounty Hunter', 'Soldier', then maybe graduate to 'Assassin', 'Sentinel', 'Honor Guard', then higher still like 'Knight', 'Warlord', and so on... Someone who takes 'Mining', 'Smeltery', and 'Smithery', might graduate to become a 'Master Smithery' where you can choose a town and have your own shop, only people with shops can sell their creations. And as they level they can graduate to specific weapon making. For example, the art of Katana making is all but lost in our world, where once there were hundreds now there's only a dozen true traditional sword smiths that are masters. In game this would mean only the highest level specialists can make prized artifacts to be sold for the highest prices in gold or gems or crystals or whatever. Status is every bit as important as your stats. Anyway... At least that's how I see it, the more complex the game, the higher the reach, the more fun it is to play. The simple games are the ones that end up vanishing from internet existence because there's no challenge in it. |

i think what zmonas said is wery good idea, i really really hope you can do all those things and for fighting skill there would be like bow skil, axe skil, sword skil, 2handed swordskill etc. etc. That would make this much interesting and more worth to play but dont take away that energy thing or ecap thing ^^
|Stop complaining and whining this is PvP game! Just get stronger and try to surpass me!|

Complexity is good as long as it remains less time consuming.
@wereboy New players won't feel small because there's someone always there who is very old on the game & have every skill to their comparable lvl except 2 or 3 in which that player has mastered. They can beat that player up in any of the other skills.
I buy ecaps for a lot of money. PM me the price you want.
A great game while you wait for energy here. Try it- http://www.lordswm.com/?rid=299948
Use refferal link & your character will get half of all refferal rewards i get.
Another cool game-

I think the game as it stands now is very simple and yes a 5 year old can master this game in a week. A little more complexity is good I do like the idea of being low time consuming if possible. I do play this game a lot either way. I do like the idea of having different skills and being able to have different people being able to do different things. It will also help make clans better since right now the only thing you can do is fight things and level up. And Wereboy everybody started at the bottom. I had a really tough time when I started because everybody was killing me. And now I am one of the highest ranking players. I don't think it's a problem since if you start a new game you have to expect it.
Knightmare Order is here to stay!!!! Beware the Knightmare. I also smith armor if you are looking to have some made.
