Hi. As Mike suggested in another HT news thread, I am taking some time off. It is only for good because during that time I am going to perfect the game. It is not like I will not be doing anything to the game. On the contrary, I will be doing a lot of new stuff to the game. First of all, I am going to make the better economy, and the game more balanced. I need your help in doing this. The game is open 8 months now and it is not getting any better even when I have added many new features. It might take couple of months to sort all things out and complete recode the game.
If you feel like you could help me by suggesting new stuff to the game and test it out (I will do something about the testing the new game but not add the new features to the public game until I finish everything) you can contact me on contact page.
Note: if you want to chat with me via skype, please add me. I don't receive messages from unknown people because I've been getting a lot of spam (you know, they ask to rate their pics on their camsites, etc ...).
Anyway, I will keep you updated on the progress in this forums. I will most likely do the reset of everything once i am done with it. The update is going to be huge: 20+ new crafts (not skills anymore ...), probably the maps, maybe 50+ towns, new monsters, items, level limit (finally), pets, new stat points, etc ...
I hope you will contact me and give me your suggestions!

i like the idee of closed beta test it good to try thing and fix bug befor it aperd in game

My suggestions so far: (I've told you most of them already)
--- Random magical items system: This is similar to how Diablo generates magical items. You have a prefix and a suffix on an item. It's too much typing to explain in detail, but basically you can easily generate thousands of magical items from pretty short coding. Perhaps they could even be "unidentified" like in Diablo, and you have to take the magical items in town to identify them (which costs money of course).
--- Sea travel and exploring undiscovered areas of the world: Mzonas actually first told me that someone else suggested having multiple continents for sailing and stuff. I just suggested that we be able to do sea battles with other people's ships, explore new continents, meet natives, maybe even start new colonies.
--- Classes: You know, the usual stuff in RPGs. Fighter/mage/thief/priest/mage/etc...
--- Building your own house/shop/boat
--- Being able to gain experience without killing monsters (from crafts/exploring/quests)
--- Buff spells: Spells that can be cast on other players that temporarily increase HP/attack/defense/etc |

hmm, yes, I just tought about Mike's item generator. If we had 50 prefixes, 50 suffixes and 50 basic item, that makes 75,000 different items 
I now have 21 skill but I am willing to add more.

I'll try to explain the item system quickly. Let's say you have some non-magical armor. It can have an armor value of 90-110 (randomly generated).
Prefix examples:
Blessed: +11-20% armor value
Saintly: +21-30% armor value
Holy: +31-40% armor value
Godly: +41-50% armor value
Suffix examples:
Of the Eagle: +11-20 HP
Of the Wolf: +21-30 HP
Of the Lion: +31-40 HP
Of the Whale: +41-50 HP
So let's say you find a magical armor on a monster. It would randomly generate (based on the level of the monster) how good it is. Let's say it's a good monster and the armor generates as "Godly Armor of the Whale." For example, the armor value could generate to 100 (from 90-110). The "Godly" prefix would generate +50% armor value. The "of the whale" suffix would generate +45 HP. So you would have a magical armor that has an armor value of 150 and gives you +45 HP.

So this means someone else could loot a "Godly Armor of the Whale" but only have +41% armor value and +41 HP, or someone else could have +50% armor value and +50 HP. |

Wouldn't it make more sense that every prefix and suffix would have a set % attached to them. It could get confusing later.
